Oddie (Formerly Knight)

Rescued from Bloomington, CA from a poor neighborhood, Odie was living under a trailer with his siblings. They were all malnourished and dehydrated. After being rescued by PetEmber, Odie stayed in the rescue for more than 3 months until he completed his vaccines with all their boosters, dewormed, received medication against fleas/ticks, and last but not least got neutered.  Since posted for adoption on our website under the name of "Knight", Odie received so much attention from potential adopters who hurried to submit their adoption applications. Since the main mission of PetEmber is to help "Animals" find loving homes with loving owners, the rescue allows anyone who is living in the US to submit an adoption application. The main selection criteria is to find a home for each rescue with a family who value our dogs and always consider them no less than any other member of the family. PetEmber proceeded to select the family of Lori Czuma from Illinois who are experienced dog owners. The adoption application submitted by Lori reflected the way her family cared for their current dogs Willow, Monti, and Cooper in addition to their former dog Flynn who passed away. Throughout their adoption application, the rescue could draw an image of the type of household where Odie would be living and the type of lifestyle he is going to receive. When the rescue proceeded forward with the adoption application, Our volunteers had the pleasure to meet with Brooklyn Czuma who become the principal caretaker for Odie. Brooklyn carried the responsibility of giving Odie the best life ever. The entire family decided to take Odie on a trip from Chicago to Michigan. Odie began to enjoy his new life in the beauty of nature with a loving family and a group of amazing dogs owned by the family of Czuma. Here is the end result of our continuous work to find our rescued animals spectacular homes.

Story of Lisa and her rescue pup Shelby (Now Lola)

We were looking to add another furbaby to our family and due to the pandemic, rescue shelters were not open. Petfinder.com had many dogs that needed homes. I submitted interest in a dog named Shelby, who was available through PetEmber. I filled out the application and shortly after received a call from Alex from PetEmber. The process was very easy and I could really see how much they care about their animals. I then met with Shelby and took her home the same day. Shelby, changed to a Lola, is doing well in her new home and having fun with her furbrother and fursister. I hope if anyone is looking to adopt, to please look into rescuing from a shelter. I had a great experience and am so happy that we found our new girl.

Story of Sarah and her adopted dog Jackson!

I adopted Jackson (formerly Choco) from Petember in November 2018 when he was just five months old. Apparently he was found all alone in the streets of San Bernardino at just 3 months old. Jackson now lives the most spoiled life a pup could dream of. His days now consist of playing with his aunties (two yellow labs), the dog park, advanced training class for good boys, and snuggles with mom. I cannot thank Alexsis and Petember enough for making sure I was able to take home the pup I instantly fell in love with.

Story of Alexandra and her adopted dog Frida

We adopted Nala who we since named Frida after our favorite artist Frida Kahlo which seemed fitting since she was found in Mexico at 6 weeks old. We went to petsmart in fullerton on a whim since my mom saw many cute adoptable dogs there. Walking up we fell in love instantly with Frida. She came to us at 8 months old. The Petember rescue did an amazing job at socializing her and training her. She gets along great with our other 2 dogs a 17 year old black lab shepherd mix and a 7 year old black pug who are best of friends. She is a great listener and is ahead of all the other dogs in her weekly training we take her to  and I attribute this to the rescue spending the time and energy necessary to make her the best dog possible. She is also the best guard dog and makes us feel super safe on our walks and at home. We seriously hit the lottery with our Frida girl\ Frida pita. Its been a month and we cannot imagine our home with out her. Thank you petember for this true gem of a pup.

Story of Jack!

Jack was found wandering the streets of San Bernardino. We started feeding him so that he can gain our trust. After some time Jack was able to trust us. One day when we were feeding him, we noticed that he had multiple wounds. Later on, we discovered that he had been shot by a BB gun and one of the bullets rested in his left eye. We continued giving him all the care he needed until he got adopted after being 3 years in the rescue to his amazing loving owner Mrs. Heather Coomes. Now Jack wears a smile on his face.

Story of Thalia and her adopted puppy Ally!

Thank you for all that you guys do for these puppies. She was super affordable and made it so easy to have a pet. We weren’t even planning on having a puppy for a couple months to save up for the dog and finding a safe vendor & to get him/her neutered and everything that comes with adopting a dog. When I found out everything you guys do for the dog including hosting her at a members house so she’s not locked up in a cage and how all the puppies are siblings I just couldn’t pass it up! I get so depressed leaving animal shelters empty handed. U guys are great!
